I first started the fore-runner of Ebonywing about 3 years ago, a small site called feathers-and-halos hosted at some shitty free server that outdid geocities with its lack of advertisement - then it got some. I generally did so for an IRC server chatroom called heaven and because I wanted to expand my knowledge of the internet and making a site seemed like a cool idea. At the time it was.. until I got a rival, namely Shady of heaven's counterpart channel called hell funnily enough. I was pretty shite at html and layouts back then and it really looked like some java lamer had puked on a page and called it a site. Hell's site in comparrision looked like a mildly disgruntled but still idiotic mirc user had puked on a page. So I replied making the site better, cleaner and more up-to-date and less like a sock tied to a stick. The day after hell had a new shinier website. ¬_¬ I was pissed, very pissed. It was then that it gained it's second name 'Of Light and Dark.' I downloaded a basic html website and played, making my own version of it which eventually got hacked yo pieces by my lack of knowledge.. but was still better than hells. So ha! Shortly after I played around with a lot of layouts, most iframes, learning how to use image programs and drop down menus of a sort until I finally learn some div/layer html and methods. At this time I created the first version of the blackart site and the tenth or so layout for heaven (which happened to be purple and pretty shite.) I decided around that point to get my first domain and hosting package www.oflightanddark.com which was to be with me for the next two years. After trail and tribulation I finally got to a standard of some sort when it came to websites and understood all but the most advanced html and with the help of Enishi brought oflightanddark.com version 1 online (which I seem to remember featured Dark and Krad from DNAngel). After 2 years my hosting decided to close and got pretty shitty towards the end always dropping and coming back so I decided to register a second domain to transfer everything over safely unless my domain suddenly decided to die permenantly. After a while of pondering I decided to name the new domain EbonyWing.com. There are several reasons for this: First En Punis would be gratified to note that I have included his reverant colour and part of his self in my worship to his general being in the name of my site. Second Sephiroth has a single black wing. Go Sephiroth! *Worships* (That and ebonywings.com was registered). Thirdly Trowa has black fluffy wings, as do a few of my character (I'm looking at you Sof and Dar here). And finally it just sounded cool and wasn't registered, wasn't too long or difficult to remember or made me look like a weirdo until you read past the front page. Some bastard registered oflightanddark.com the day after it dropped before I was able to so I ended up sticking with ebonywing.com which seems to be fine with me, though I want my first domain name back you bastards! (I will get it.. one day.)

Anyway Ebonywing really is a personal site where I talk about random crap, worship en punis, mock the inflicted and generally force guide you to the other sites that I have created or am hosting in the hopes you will visit and I can laugh as you wonder what the hell I'm like IRL and be suitably terrified (or mortified if you're my mother and tell me to take this down if you see it). XD
